Resurrection

Well if anyone reads any of this stuff, my appologies for not getting more info out, but between my market appearances and designing new things, I have been very busy.

Being born in the land of the BATAVIE, or in the Dutch language BATAVIEREN. then moving to the land of the BELGEA, I lived in Brussels. From there I went to France and lived in the area that was the territory of the BELLOVACI near Amiens. Finally my family moved to Scotland, the land of PICTS and SCOTTI. Nowhere, NOWHERE did I learn anything about the people who populated all these countries before the invasion of the Romans.

Not till many years later, after settling in Vancouver, Canada, did I learn anything about CELTS.
A very serendipitous commission led me to Celtic Art, but that's another story.

TRIQUETRA

Tri- Quetra from the latin for three cornered, are we ever going to throw of the Roman yoke.
Not only can I not get an insular font, all word meanings appear to have a Latin base, with a few Greek ones thrown in for good measure.

Well to avoid confusion the Triskele is like the three legged symbol of the Island of Man, the Triquetra has been taken from the Circle, which represents the home, hearth, dwelling, what ever you wish to call it. Divide it into three 120 degree sections and interlace them so that you have a triangle. Note the picture above and you can see how the sections of the circle have moved.
The symbolism of this is the Trinity of the family base, mother, father & child. The pendant you see above is in sterling silver overlaid with 14 kt gold. If you will bear with me I shall have a silver version with a ring around it very shortly.
